£1,360-00 For A Days Fishing

Thats what angler Peter Farquharson paid in fines and costs for trying to blag his way out of been found guilty of fishing without a licence.  He was caught without a valid rod licence at Northam Farm fishing lake near Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset on 25 May 2015. Rather then taking been caught almost in the act with his fishing tackle by his chosen peg he denied to the EA bailiffs that he had any intention of fishing.  This was to be the start of his demise as he tried pleadeding not guilty.  Below is an extract fron the EA’s announcment. …read more

Fishing Just Got Easier - Boat For Disabled Anglers

Fishing for disabled anglers has just got easier with the introduction of a specially adapted boat for disabled anglers thanks to the joint collaboration of the EA and Norfolk and District Pike Club and is based near Norwich on the river Yare. The boat is specially adapted at its bow so that provides a ramp like facility for wheel chairs to be able to roll on and roll of bringing a whole new use to the phrase ro-ro boat/ferry. …read more

Police caught two poachers red handed at Drinkwater Park over the weekend after they where seen acting suspiciously.  They where reported to the venues owners.  Salford Friendly Anglers Society who run the park said “He saw that the men were pike fishing with 5 rods each,  and had a take on one of the rods which they weren’t paying any attention to. …read more
